   Jeep Motor Mounts

Off Road motor mounts were developed because stock motor mounts would not hold up to the rigors of off road racing or serious pre-running. The new rock climbing craze has proven to be hard on motor mounts as well because of flexing that occurs when one wheel drops way down and the opposite wheel is shoved up. Jeeps are a good example because they are always breaking ! Ask a Jeep owner that really uses his unit and they will usually verify this.

Using bushings for heavy duty motor mounts has been a feature of Autofabs since the early '80s when we started our V6 kits for mini trucks. Autofab original motor mounts used leaf spring bushings. Then we had molds made for ureathane rubber, and have been using this style ever since. Another helpful feature to Jeeps is, when bolted in, the motor mounts actually make the engine a cross-member to the frame and reinforce it! Customers say their  clutch linkage works better now that the engine is stabilized.

Key Benefits

  • Bullet proof design
  • Reinforces the frame
  • Helps clutch linkage
  • Motor stays in place
  • Creates a new cross-member
  • More fun and less work
