1981 to 1991 Chevy and GMC 4×4 Cracked Bolt On Frame Repair Kit

Bolt-in frame reinforcing kit stops frame flex which causes cracks. Fits 81-87 Chevy and GMC K10, K20, and K30 4X4 trucks. Also fits 81-91 4X4 Blazers, Jimmys, and Suburbans. Cracks in the frame must be repaired prior to installation. The Autofab steering box gusset kit will keep the frame from cracking again. 2 wheel drive Blazers and Jimmys will need the SBGK2wd for their reinforcements.

Why you need it? Chevrolet frames are notoriously thin, when you are turning left and right the steering loads cause the frame to flex between the front cross member and the motor mount cross member. Over time this starts to fatigue the frame and cracks start developing. If you have a lift and big tires, there is even more chance of your frame cracking.

Our solution tackles the problem at its source where the steering box is bolted. Our kit bolts to 3 of the steering box mounting bolts with new grade 8 hardware included.
