The customer brought us his truck to install one of our lift kits on the front. We install the front first and then decide how much to lift the rear so the leveling our client is looking for is achieved. Single cab, long bed pickup truck. Installing our 3” econo lift.
First, we assess all the parts that need to be repaired or replaced. Replacing beam pivot bushings and radius arm, steering linkage including tire rods, replacement of king pins,
Doing the King pin job properly includes rough reaming and then honing the fit. Spindles are sitting up back on the beams and shimmed properly to eliminate any play.
We also inspect brakes, wheel bearings and seals and replacing/repairing as necessary.
Servicing the steering may be part of the process.
