Category’s 2nd Place at 2017 NORRA Mexican 1000″

The 2017 NORRA Mexican 1000 race is over, and we are very excited to announce that we got 2nd place in the category “Vintage Open Truck with Rear Leaf Springs VOTRL”, and 30th overall. Considering there were a lot of fast cars and drivers, the results were great.

We had a float problem with the carburetor on the first day but got it fixed that night in San Felipe. Just before Chipala, the carburetor stud broke and the air cleaner flew into the cab damaging the lid, fortunately, some folks from another team helped us straighten the air cleaner out and got us back on the road in 20 minutes and made the next start on time.

We were penalized 16 minutes for speed, we would have been a lot closer to the first guys without the three incidents. All in all, it was a great race with a lot of hot riding, camaraderie, and fun.
